So today I was reading about making cashew cheese and came across something amazing. Rejuvelac. Yep I know.
Rejuvelac is a fermented sprouted grain drink. It's used as a culture to make nut and seed cheeses.
I had no idea this even existed let alone how easy to make, and SOOOO healthy it is! Think about all the money you spend on probiotic foods, like yogurt or those little milk drinks, or pills, or even fermented veggies. Now think about how much one cup of whole grains cost, especially if you have a co-op bulk grain option. Add four cups of water, which you will drain and consume. You can use the grains twice, making 8 cups of rejuvelac. If you have a cup a day that's 8 days worth for the cost of one cup of grains.
It's not hard to make, and you save tons of money! This is a win win in my world!
Since I've just discovered this today I don't have any results yet, but I'm adding it to my list for today and I'll let you know how it goes.
Here is the website I'm using for this round. I have organic quinoa and buckwheat not sure where I'll start, I'll probably end up doing both and seeing the differences as I go :) you know for you guys ;)
