Sweet 16

Well I'm officially over the hill with this cleanse. It's been great and one of my clients said my skin is looking amazing! Yea! She's super sweet so I'll take it with a grain of sugar.

Today I taught so I took a smoothie with my home made coconut milk in it, I also tossed in some chia seeds with my flax meal so it was a very thick rich smoothie. It was like desert, so delish! In the car on the way to work I got a wild hare. I needed to get out in the sunshine and hike. The sun hitting me climbing up a hill. I really wanted to head to the desert but that's a little far, so Angeles National Forest won. I wanted to get out there so I ate leftovers from last nights dinner cold and a couple of mandarins packed two bottles of water and headed out. One of my friends joined me and off we went!

So after I came back had an almond butter sandwich and made a huge stir fry, A bunch of the veggies I had in the house. Onions, garlic, celery, cabbage, mushrooms, spring onions, assorted green tops from my root veggies, and topped with nori.

I stir fried it in coconut oil and sesame oil, I used a little anchovy paste for salt and tomato paste for tang. It turned out to be really good after I added some Liquid Aminos! It's strange just making a stir fry and not being able to use soy sauce and rice vinegar. But I'm figuring it out little by little. Now do I toss out that big bottle of soy sauce that I know is filled with sugar and most likely GMO soybeans? The girl who was raised to never waste is raging inside, but the girl who knows better than to consume that wants to toss it and move on. Dilemma dilemma!

I'm going to steam a sweet potato and sprinkle a little cinnamon on top for dessert.

Have sweet potato dreams!

A beautiful walk hike along the rim.
