Holistic House Cleaning!

Today is home spring cleaning day. I removed everything from the bedroom swept and mopped. I filled the sink with hot water and Dr. Bronners lavender soap. I used an old towel to scrub the floors, and then sprayed tea tree oil on the curtains to freshen them up. Just a few drops in a spray bottle filled with water does the trick. The whole room (which is also my office) smells clean, fresh, and relaxing. I removed anything from under the bed that could disrupt my chi while sleeping. That means the only things under there now are a huge camping pack and tent, for wonderful memories; sleeping bags that are soft and also filled with happiness; boxes of cd's I just love music; and a suitcase full of art supplies to encourage some creative dreaming. All the stuff with sharp edges, or sad memories has been removed. I don't want to sleep with that under me!

Holistic house cleaning, lovely. No chemical smells and tea tree oil is a natural disinfectant and antiseptic as is lavender. Tea tree oil has been found to kill viruses as well... can your nasty chemicals do all that and not leave behind toxic fumes and residue? I thought not.

ON TO THE FOOD! YEA!

Yesterday I made my trip to Sustain and am on my way again today. Boy howdy I love that place! Here is one of my favorite Juceristas:

And the incredible juice she made for me, with a spirulina booster :)

Also I had the privilege of having dinner made for me! My dear friend Noelle was willing to put together a dinner with in my parameters and it was delicious. A roast chicken, a huge pile of roasted veggies with blue potatoes, broccoli, carrots, onions, garlic, cauliflower... and the biggest salad I have ever seen. I ate way to much, three helpings of the salad and two rather large helping of those roasted veggies, I was still full when I woke up this morning. Thank you for a lovely evening and a lovely meal Noelle!

Last week I made a tomato sauce and left it to ferment. I've tasted it a few times and Wow! It's addictive. However if I had could do it over again I would add way less garlic. I'm going to post that tomorrow, however.

For tonight I want to share a little thing I discovered over Easter. Baked eggs. Yep baked eggs.

put the oven on 220 and place eggs in the oven, not on anything just in the oven and bake 5 hours. Pull out and place in cold iced water. peel and eat! They taste unlike any egg you've had before. They brown in the shell and holy mother they are good. Ok I'll move on.

Today I sorta forgot about breakfast. I had about 5 hours of phone conferences with the Inspirational Women's Summit and I was listening and scrubbing and just plain forgot about breakfast, which after dinner last night I'm not surprised. So here's lunch!

I made pork chops (nice cuts reduced price after Easter :) sauteed in coconut oil and sliced figs. Just a dash of sea salt and fresh ground pepper.
It helps to have a ton of veggies in your kitchen at all times. I decided a sweet veggie saute would go nice so I used onions, cabbage, orange peppers, mushrooms, red kale, baby tomatoes and a little parsley in coconut oil with just a little pink salt. I ate the whole plate of veggies, I just couldn't stop myself they were so tasty!

See Yinz all tomorrow!
