This isn't a new discovery in fact I'm at this juice bar so much they know my name! But I would be remiss if I didn't mention Sustain Juicery. Everything is organic and amazing. They have a daily specials board and I can honestly say I've had everything except the smoothies there ( I make those at home myself ) It's a beautiful place and if you live in or close to LA you must go! I started my day off with the Classic Green, 16 oz of love, a banana that Brian (owner) gifted to me, and a wheatgrass shot. It took me til noon to realize I was hungry
Secondly I've been listening to lectures and a Harvard debate about raw milk. I'm so fascinated now that I'm tempted to break my cleanse just to go try it. I won't but I want to! I'd love to hear if anyone has an opinion or tried raw milks and cheeses. I for one have been looking at a bunch of places that I want to check out and as I do I'll post more info. If you haven't thought about the quality over the quantity in your animal products this is a great time to do so. I could go on for days about it but let's start with just this:
Soy or corn fed animals are fed GMO soy and corn. Animals are not meant to peel an ear of corn or shell a soy bean, this isn't their natural diet and shouldn't be yours either. It produces sick animals and we become sick people. We have no idea what GMO's will do to us in the long run but I know that it will not be good. Zombie apocalypse here we come!
I'll post the rest of my day after work tonight so for those east coasters I'll see you tomorrow :)
PART 2:
Well the rest of the day went by quick! I didn't have much of a chance to do anything let alone worry about food, so I polished off the leftovers for lunch. For dinner a beet and avocado salad with collard greens and sauteed okra and mushrooms. A coconut for dessert! Yum!
