Well I feel very luck as I got to spend today reguvenating. Anytime your spending all of your energy working or on others you need to recoup. That goes for the moms to the execs out there. Every one needs to take a look at their calendar, where is the time you schedule for you? Since when did you rate so far down the list you're not on it? Not a party that you have to attend, not a dinner that you have to be 'on' for, really take some time for you?

It's been shown that women who spend quality time with their girl friends have better over all health, lower blood pressure, less stress... So I spent my day with one of my best friends after work. We met at the spa, $15 all day access to saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, ice tubs... it goes on but I'll stop bragging. I do love the little things in LA. I rejuvinated my mind, my soul, my body, and my skin! After we had dinner and dyed my hair. (Henna. Chemical free and in the parameters of my cleanse!)
Today I ate my creations. I had a smoothie for breakfast. Toast with raw almond butter, nothing in it but almonds and a fruit spread. It's strawberry with 5 ingredients and none of them scary, or sugar. Yea! Apple Pectin is a digestive aid and intestinal regulator that prevents absorption of cholesterol and helps remove unwanted toxins from the colon.

I had a seaweed soup with pickled and fermented veggies at the korean spa (kim chi!)
Finally for dinner we had the chicken that had been assembled yesterday in the crock pot with a little EVOO, apple cider vinegar, capers - and their brine, fermented pickles, and shallots. I just pulled the crock out of the fridge and set it to 10 hours, when I got home the brown rice that had been soaking with the dash of REAL apple cider vinegar was already in the rice cooked I just pushed the button. We had olive and pickles and my friend had cheese which was off limits for me while we waited for the rice to cook. The breast had a nice color to it, but I'm a leg girl so that was mine!
An easy real meal ready to go in very little effort. It was admittedly a protein heavy day, but after eating an entire bunch of kale yesterday and having a friend over who wasn't on my cleanse I think a simple dinner was ok :)
Now time to rinse out my hair and see if henna can make a difference or if I just get to spend even more time in water today...
